Dating for the hearing impaired
I would absolutely date someone with a hearing impairment, but I wouldn't go on a date with someone who didn't respect me, didn't have a connection with, didn't have similarities with..all about how a person acts and makes me feel, far more than appearance or ability.
As long as we were able to communicate with each other, I'd have no problem with it.
I have been wearing HA's for over twenty years, and mine is progressive. Nobody in my family nor any of my close friends are hearing impaired. My mom and dad are both carriers of the gene that gave me 80 percent hearing loss.
I think that so long as we can understand speech aided, it should not be a deterrent. My little sister has no hearing problems just like the rest of my family.
I'm 29 years old and I stopped dating my freshman year in college, decided to party for eight years (yes, I graduated on the five year plan but continued to party after that) and live a life of fun and stress free because I struggle with dating.Nobody in my family nor any of my close friends are hearing impaired. My mom and dad are both carriers of the gene that gave me 80 percent hearing loss.
